ABOUT US

Hello,
My name is Mark. My wife (Steff) and I have enjoyed the last 14 years together by the grace of God. We're both entrepreneurs and small business developers with over 8 years of experience between us. We're both recipients of the Entrepreneurial Achievement Certificate for completing the Operation Bootstrap Program through Southern Illinois University and the Delta Regional Authority.

We specialize in the production of handmade products, online marketing, social media, digital products, entrepreneurship and small business development. For us, what better place to put our boots on the ground than in a developing country with a growing economy such as Ghana. We've always had a desire to travel to Ghana Africa to visit historical monuments and to build relationships with the local Ghanains. In recent times, our desire has only grown stronger- never fading.

After surviving my battle with cancer we've come to realize how short of time we all have here on earth. Being survivors has shown us what our true passions in life are. Our website bsnconnect.org was born out of our own neccessity to become self made humanitarians and volunteers. Just the thought of not having much but still being able to help at least 1 or 2 Ghanains with long term solutions is truly fulfilling. We may not ever be able to “do it big” therefore, we focus on the smaller charitable things that we can do to help the continual development of Ghana.

Thank you for visiting our website. God Bless
OUR MISSION

Thank you for taking out the time to learn why we believe that shipping containers and small homes will play a major role in the development of sustainable and affordable housing in the years to come. Not only do we believe that shipping containers and small homes will be the way of the future, we also believe that it's a great way for many people to get involved in providing affordable housing solutions to under served communities worldwide.

We are aware that providing impoverished communities with sustainable and affordable housing is a global issue. While we're just getting started on our own micro level to help make an impact, we know that our solutions may not be suitable for everyone nor will they be the “be all and end all” of all possible solutions that can arise. The CHP project that we're working on is our own personal way of donating our time, knowledge, and energy to combat the housing crisis that are ever so prevalent in impoverished communities worldwide but most importantly in Africa.

By providing sustainable and affordable housing solutions within developing countries, more people will have the opportunity to improve their quality of life and lift themselves above the poverty line for years to come. We believe that educating more and more people in impoverished communities about ways that housing can be more affordable and sustainable will undoubtedly create a brighter future for the younger generations that will feel the positive impacts of sustainable and affordable housing solutions of today.

That's why my wife and I have relocated to Ghana Africa to begin furthering our understanding of the issues that the majority of Ghanaians face. Now we 're the “Boots on the Ground” embarking on this new endeavor to learn and experience first hand what life is like living in a developing country. We're building up character and becoming more acquainted with our surroundings everyday. Doing our own field work and compiling specific data that can only be gathered by getting involved with local Ghanaians on a grassroots level has provided us with the necessary information needed to provide valuable comprehensive data analysis to our clients, potential investors, entrepreneurs, and individuals looking to relocate to Ghana.

As we continue to travel around Ghana and its capital city Accra, there's one old saying that keeps coming to mind whenever we see an incomplete building project; “Sometimes, less is more”. This can also be said for some other African countries that we're studying as well. We're constantly reminded that having adequate shelter, affordable housing, and a home should not be a dream. It's our goal to change the way so many people of African decent all over the world consider what a dream home is to them. It's our core belief that a roof over ones head, walls to protect them from the elements with running water and electricity is a home, as long as it's affordable, provides adequate shelter, and is sustainable; it's a home. Maybe that's just the reality of the matter. Either way, it should no longer be a dream.

Even with this being said, our mission is constantly being refined. We want to be clear about who we are, what we stand for, and our goals. We want to one day be able to serve the Ghanaians, the Diaspora, and all of our Brothers and Sisters on the African continent with alternative housing options. Whether it's in the form of designing small homes, creating floor plans, developing building plans, finding the best contractor, and project management; our goal is to make the process easier and less stressful for others. Being self funded, we decided to take a micro approach to getting our projects off the ground. So there's no confusion about Who, What, When, Where, and Why, now you know that we're here to Develop, Empower, Enable, and Sustain ourselves and our projects here on the ground.
